Founding Principles and Inspiration

ELFA Cares Foundation was born from the heart of East Legon Football Academy (ELFA), founded in 2019 by Winston Yeboah Danso.

What began as a football academy to develop young talent soon revealed a much deeper need — children were arriving for training hungry, out of school, or lacking basic necessities.

Winston responded from the heart — paying school fees, buying learning materials, supporting families with food, and offering help wherever he could.

These quiet, personal acts of kindness gradually grew into something bigger and more organized.

Out of this consistent compassion, ELFA Cares Foundation was established — a nonprofit platform created to scale the impact and serve more children and communities in need.

Since then, ELFA Cares has supported over 3,382 children through football training, scholarships, education support, clean water systems, and life-changing mentorship programs. What began as one man’s mission has become a movement for dignity, hope, and opportunity.

We’re still writing our story — and we invite you to be part of it.
