In the ever-evolving landscape of information and communication technology (ICT), the contributions of women continue to shape and redefine the industry. As we gear up to celebrate Girls in ICT Day on April 4th, it’s imperative to recognize and appreciate the invaluable efforts of young women who are breaking barriers and making significant strides in the field. In particular, the achievements of Afi Amezado and Gladys Doh, students who have demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication in our ICT projects, deserve special commendation.
Afi and Gladys, along with their website design tutor – Mr. John Weeden, have played a pivotal role in designing the website for the Fafali organization. Through their collaboration, they have not only showcased their technical skills but also their creativity and innovative thinking. Their dedication to the project has resulted in a user-friendly and visually appealing website that effectively communicates the mission and goals of the organization.

Their success serves as an inspiration to other girls participating in our various ICT and STEM projects. It underscores the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where young women feel empowered to explore their interests and pursue their passions in STEM fields. By highlighting the achievements of girls like Afi and Gladys, we hope to encourage more female students to actively engage in ICT-related activities and strive for excellence.
It’s important to note that our ICT projects encompass a wide range of disciplines, providing girls with opportunities to explore diverse areas within the field. In addition to website design, we offer classes in graphic design, drone piloting, photography & videography, and more. By exposing students to these different areas of ICT, we aim to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

As we celebrate Girls in ICT Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to supporting and empowering young women in their pursuit of excellence. Let us recognize the invaluable contributions they make to the ICT industry and beyond. Together, let us continue to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
In conclusion, Afi Amezado and Gladys Doh, along with their fellow female participants in our ICT and STEM projects, exemplify the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and perseverance. Their achievements serve as a testament to the limitless potential of girls in STEM, and we look forward to celebrating their continued success on Girls in ICT Day and beyond.
